Storyteller & Consultant
About Me
The Basics
I live in Denver, Colorado, with my husband, our daughter, and our two very cuddly pets. In my day job, I work in nonprofit development, fundraising for 5280 High School. I previously did the same at Lighthouse Writers Workshop, a literary arts nonprofit, where I formed many deep relationships with local writers and readers. I also provide fundraising consulting services to various literacy and youth-serving organizations. And because I just can't get enough literature in my life, I volunteer with local nonprofit BookGive to help families stock their home libraries with great reads.

I earned my bachelor’s in Human Development and Psychological Services at Northwestern University and a master’s in Fundraising and Grantmaking from NYU. In my free time, you can find me at the library with my daughter, canning jams and pickling anything that can be pickled, cross stitching, or, of course, writing.

Storytelling
I like to write stories that help the reader see something new in the world and in themselves. I like to write about:
-
Discovering your strengths and sharing them with the world
-
Mental health, including anxiety, ADHD, depression, and other challenges
-
Finding joy in the small things
-
Family, both the one you’re born with and the one you choose
-
Animals, especially when they get into silly situations
-
Anything that will make me and my readers laugh and/or learn something together
